The Top Ten Says of the Week aka The Carnival of Real Estate
June 17th, 2007 Family Life

Welcome Carnival of Real Estate fans to my home of Bristol, Connecticut.
Connecticut is notable for having next to zero professional sports teams and was thus the Switzerland of Sports for ESPN to set up shop in.
So without further ado, welcome to the highlight reel for the “Top Ten Says of the Week”.

A good summary of websites offering hyperlocal slants – Pat Kitano presents Hyperlocal Venues Differentiated at Transparent Real Estate

A good photo related story – Rob Beland presents Office Available For Lease - 267 days and counting posted at The Real Estate TrendMill.

Clear, interesting and with a fun photo – Silicon Valley Blogger presents 4 Ways To Invest In Real Estate That We’d Actually Consider Doing posted at The Digerati Life.

Always sound – Jim Cronin presents Why Real Estate Blogging Is Like Golf. posted at Real Estate Tomato

Interesting, well written and a bizarre tale of getting blacklisted – Dave Gooden presents We’re Allowed To Advertise In The Newspaper posted at Dave Gooden.

Active comments, reasoned, topical. – Jonathan Dalton presents Redfin Takes a Day Off posted at Phoenix Arizona Real Estate

Good explanation of something not immediately obvious to most consumers – John Barker presents How can a “carpeting allowance” be a bad thing? posted at John Barker’s Mortgage Blog.

Interesting twist, well written, thoughtful – Brian Brady presents Rich Dad, Poor Dad: The Irony of the Message posted at World Wide Wealth Advisors.

Interesting, fun, opening hook, active comments – Kris Berg presents Blogging for Dollars - It’s time to make money posted at BloodhoundBlog

Interesting, in depth post with the bonus of a great Seth Godin video segment – Peter Comitini presents The transparent broker (New York City luxury properties from Peter Comitini of the Corcoran Group Real Estate) posted at Peter Comitini
Thanks for the visit to Reagent in Connecticut. While you’re here, take a moment to look around. I have two daily posts, The Bad MLS Photo of the Day and The Feed Bag. Plus most days I have a few more posts just for fun or something more serious. My driving passion is a journey into discovering How To Take Good Real Estate Photographs.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I appeciate it.
Athol Kay aka Sock Puppet.

I thought Connecticut and California were only three hours apart! Thanks for the honor, Sock, even if you are a day early.

Last day of school tomorrow for the little ones. A prize giving thingy, a half day of school, my usual blogging stint, yada yada yada. I just grit my teeth and got it done. I forgot all about that it’s meant to be a Monday release.
Meh the deadline was 3pm, so it’s done.
It’s Monday in New Zealand. Thats all that matters.

Excellent job, Athol!
I particularly loved your daughter’s Father’s Day post. My daughter, Maggie, turns six this week and is dying to have her own weblog. She wants to call is “Bulldog Blog” because she knows I write on Bloodhound.
Perhaps our kids will have group blog one day.
Hosting the Carnival is a ton of work and you are to be commended and thanked for your work.
